Venue: A very big, famous and successful shop
Actors: 3 leading actresses nicknamed G1 and G2 and 1 lady boss nicknamed L.
Situation:The 2 gerls saw an ad behind the cashier stating 'Sales Assistant wanted', and so they decided to try their luck. The cashier called the manager and so the Lady Boss(who wears a tudung) met with the 2 gerls. Took down their particulars and had a mini interview with them.
With a leveled gaze and an authorative voice, she began speaking sternly in eng language ...
L: So you 2 want to have this job?"
G1&G2: *nods head and smiled*
L: I am not sure if u 2 will get the job because there are some other applicants before u 2
G1&G2: *nods head again*
L: Right, and i expect punctuality on every single day. I noticed u 2 lived quite far and i dont expect any of u to come late at all. And no delay in working, or not i'll minus ur pay.
G1&G2: We understand that.
L: Any questions to ask?
G1: How is the pay?
L: Its $4 per hours and you are working from 10am to 10pm straight. But soon u will have to work until 11.30pm becoz it will be busy next month. We expect many customers and so we need as many hands as we can.
G1&G2: *looks at each other*
L: Uhuh, and since both of u lived quite far, i see that i have to release u two around 11.15. But if u decided to melencong around bazaar and missed the last train, its not my fault.
G1: Oooh.
G2: *thinking*
L: Anymore questions?
G2: hmmm nope. *shakes head*
L: Oh yes one more thing. Throughout the whole working hours u are not given a time to go out and perform your shalat(prayers),becoz we did that last time and the gerls ended up playing truant with us. We're not taking anymroe chances, so no one is allowed to go out to pray.
G1: WHAT???!!!
L: *smiled smugly and nodded her TUDUNG head*
G1: CANT U EVEN LET US OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES??
L: *shaked head firmly and gave G1 a leveled gaze* Nope.
G2: *smiled weakly*
G1: Not even around here? What about in the store where u guys stocked the stuff?? Cant we pray there??
L: *raised eyebrows and shrugged* The store is cramped. There's no space.
G1: *shakes head* Im sorry, i dont want the job.
L: "gave a satisfied smile* I have to tell u honestly before u started working. So (looking at G2) you still want the job?
G2: *shakes head politely and smiled*
G1 and G2 left the shop....

Olrite, let me explain. G1 is me, and G2 is Jun. The L is the MANAGER of a very succesful shop which happens to be a malay/muslim shop named FIRST LADY. So let me get this straight, what i got today is a muslim manager(wearing tudung) who works for a famous malay/muslim shop, who forbids her muslim workers for prayers?? And even during the holy month of Ramadhan, she forbids us to go out for even a few minutes for prayers??
What is she, a heartless creature or what? If a muslim manager wouldnt want to support a muslim worker, how can other races support us?? Even MacDonalds allow the workers to pray in the store room, but FIRST LADY??? She wanna make the business running, she wanna earn profits, she wanna have lots of customers, but few minutes of praying she wouldnt allow. She's carrying heavy responsibilities for all of the muslim girls there. One rotten egg spoils the whole basket, but u cant generalise everyone like that can u?? And the sad thing is, she'll be doing it during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Share with me ur comments peeps. First Lady is a malay/muslim shop serving for all malays selling TUDUNG, SCARFS, JUBAHS and more other stuff. Dont you think its just not right for the manager to be doing what she is doing now? Dia menghalang para muslimin yang ingin beribadah! If a chinese manager would have done that i would have understand, but not this muslim manager!
Honestly before that i didnt even tot of asking her about prayer break times and places becoz i tot being a muslim surely she'll take into account all of that, until she mentioned it herself. Well i tot wrong then.
Im pissed off. Thk gdness i still had my patience with me or not i would have tear the forms right infront of her nose. I gritted my teeth and said fine let it be. I wouldnt want some Authorative Queen ordering me around anyway.
That left me into thinking... Are all other malay shops like this too? Say, 2nd chance and Golden chance.
