That, is in general.
Ive got 2.5 more days left at the company. That'll be next mon, tue and finally sat. The new gerl is a pure Indian, and at times i had trouble understanding her. She's a PR, and living around my bro's area! What a small world..
Teaching her for the past week sort of bonded us, so we had chats here and there about our personal life too. It amazed me hearing about their indian culture. I think she was from a village somewhere in the South of India. She got married when she was 22, still studying in college. Her marriage was purely based on a match-making setup done by her parents and her husband's parents. Over there, there are supposed to be no meet-ups or whatsoever. Only knowing from far that you're engaged, and will get married in a few months time.
When i asked her what she was feeling when her parents asked her to get married with a choice of the family, her answer was simple.
"That is our culture. We follow what our parents say. They'll find for us, and if it is time for us to get married, we will follow their choice"
Wow.
See the difference in our society and theirs?
Over here, we chosed our own partners, and the parents HAD to follow our choice (some case, might not tho). Over there, its the OTHER way round. heh..
Being with the new gerl, and gettting to know her culture and practices makes me feel like i'm seeing a real-live hindi show. And i loveee hindi shows!
She even made a joke that her husband once said that over here the culture is that no one's gonna find for u ur partner. Everyone's finding for themeselves their own partners.
True, no?
heh.
Well actually, its all fated.
Whether u believe it or not, it's in the mind.

Swensens was good. Ice-cream was great, crayfish pasta was best. And the pizza was shiok. It was a belated celebration for the boy's bday. 24th this year, my boy. Before that we had a mini gathering at bro's home last week. Loved seeing his surprise look on his face when we took out the bday cake. Heh heh. Hope that the football shirt with his name and number fits him well. Of which, ive been pestering him to try it on.

It seems that we have gone through quite a journey together. These are blessings in disguise which we have to go thru. And for certain reasons if we are meant or not for each other, He decides. For now, lets put our efforts together to try our best, and put trust to each other.
Two years down..
Looking forward for the years ahead with you,
insya allah.
