The first day of fasting, hubby and i tried cooking Carbonara for buka. Ha-ha. Which reminds me of the Karabbana story (about that later). Its our first time trying that dish, and well, its not as superb as the one at Pastamania, but we were satisfied with our first attempt. Heh. Its a pity dad dont eat it, coz he said he's just not into pasta and western dishes. So end up, just hubby and me eating eat. Haishhh.
Back to the Karabbana story.
On sunday, 16th August, i met up with the bunch of secondary buddies for lunch at pastamania. The whole gang is in except for runni. I had Carbonara there because i been craving to eat pastamania's Carbonara. Unfortunately, i got the word mixed up and told the buddies that i wanted Karabbana. Hanizah was the first to laugh and then ahmad and then the rest started shaking their heads. Its so fara to get the words and names all mixed up.
A few days later i received a text message from Ahmad while i was working. It goes like this.
A: You know I was in lecture and then I remembered Karabbana (Carbonara) and i was holding back my roar of laughter the entire time. Haha!
F: Hahahaha! How did you end up having that word in your mind??
A: We were talking about language and sounds. And i remembered how you managed to change the pasta which was originally covered bacon bits into like a name of surah.
I think i almost burst out laughing out loud right then in the office. HAHA!
Well moving on. Today is a lazy lazy saturday. These days all i feel is tiredness and lethargic. Maybe the body is adapting to the fasting mode. Gee.
The other day i was in bus 184 going to work and i was standing in the bus packed with Ngee Ann poly and SIM students. This is not the first time, but this time it was really getting on my nerve. I was tired and was hoping to get a seat but cant find one because it was packed. Guess what, none of the students in the bus offered me a seat. I dont mind just that i was curiously wondering if they are blind or just too ignorant to bother. One was sleeping, one was nodding his head to his music, one was reading notes, one was just looking out the bus window.
Students these days.... (shrugs)
Finally a smart looking guy wearing a long sleeve shirt (must be a working adult) who was sitting quite far from where i was standing called me and offered me his sit. I guess you have to be in the working world first before the right values gets into you? Mann, i was mad lah that time.
And so in the midst of anger and fed-up ness, i smsed hanizah.
"Kesian budak-budak ini. Tinggi pelajaran tapi tak bermoral."
Tell you what, you wont feel or understand unless one day you're in my position. Thennnn, you'll know.
Hah!
Anyways this week i saw quite a few NP frends here and there. On sunday i saw een, on monday i saw masyi, on tues i saw nadia and on wed i saw ayu. What a coincidence to see them! Heh. Its been quite long since we catch up on one another ya...
Well thats it for today. I shall rest for a while.
